HAKIM stands for Halaqah Kebajikan Islam Mahasiswa and operates in Brisbane, Queensland. It was founded in the year 2011 by a group of post-graduate students which aimed to look after Malaysian muslim students affairs at the time.

In the year 2014 HAKIM became an official organization and subsequently an affiliation of the Malaysian Students Council of Australia (MASCA) Queensland Chapter, joining fellow Malaysian Students Organizations (MSO);
  1. University of Queensland Malaysian Students' Association, UQMSA
  2. Bond University Malaysian Association, BUMA
  3. Queensland University of Technology Malaysian Students Association, QUTMySA
  4. Persatuan Pelajar Malaysia Queensland, PPMQ
Other Malayisan organizations around Queensland include Kelab UMNO Australia Brisbane, KUA Brisbane, ISMA Australia and IKRAM Australia.

Its purpose is;
  1. To encourage actions of virtue and prevention of vice - amar makruf nahi munkar.
  2. To become a platform that forges a strong relationship between members of the society and with the community.
  3. To spread love for knowledge and instill awareness of the role and responsibilities of members towards the country and the Ummah.
  4. To directly assist EMA in carrying out religious activities and student development agenda in Queensland.
  5. As an organization that promotes interaction and intermingling between various MSO in Queensland towards growth in knowledge, and human capital development.
